Designed by Ole Wanscher, one of the defining figures of Danish mid-century modernism, for manufacturer France & Daverkosen, the Senator series is a study in restraint: a continuous, hand-sculpted arm that flows straight into the front leg in one uninterrupted curve, slim tapered legs, and an open frame that lets the cushions float rather than sit buried in upholstery. It's the kind of joinery you run your hand over before you even sit down.

This pair carries the manufacturer's own "fd" medallion, marking them as genuine France & Daverkosen production — sourced by us from a prominent Washington, D.C. estate, where they lived for decades as quiet, well-used favorites.
