Nils Jonsson Teak Tall Chest

This tall teak chest is a fine example of how much good design you can get from simple lines. Six generous drawers stack in a clean, graduated front, each with a long routed finger pull in place of hardware. The look is sleek and handsome, and the drawers are easy to open.

The teak veneer has a warm, even tone and a lovely horizontal grain that runs across every drawer. The case sits on a slim, tapered base with a stretcher rail, which keeps the piece light and visually open on the floor. It has the proportions of a classic Scandinavian highboy without taking up much room.

Use it in a bedroom for clothing and linens, in an entryway for everyday essentials, or in a living or dining room as a smart storage piece that doubles as a display surface. The top is a handy spot for a lamp, a plant or a favorite piece of art.
