Sourced in Denmark and refinished by us, this Kai Kristiansen desk is the kind of piece people stop mid-stride to look at. The wide teak top seems to hover above the base. It rests on four slender, tapered teak legs and is edged with a softly rounded profile.
Each side has a bank of three drawers with Kristiansen's carved teak eyelid pulls. The top drawer on each side locks. The back is finished too, with three open compartments for books, records, or a favorite collection. That makes it a good fit in the middle of a room, a studio, or a home office where the desk is seen from every angle.
We brought the teak back to its warm, glowing color. The grain on the top and drawer fronts is beautiful, and the drawers glide smoothly.
